This page had so far been a dynamic webpage, coded in laravel in its last iteration. Today, it is now a static webpage. I was resistant for many years, thinking that dynamic was the way, but now that I maintain so many websites I understand the value of static. Static is maintainable, static is easy to move, static is cheap.
Now that AI is here, and efficient at writing code, I quickly spun up a few scripts to convert the database into markdown files, sort them all, and figure out what images I wasn't using. Then I used AI to recreate a sober design that pleased my eyes. All of that because I wanted to write something.
Anyway, now I'm going through older blogposts and I realized that I always post pictures of the redesign (2015, 2014, 2013, 2011, 2009) because otherwise I don't have memories when I decide to change things again.
So here you are, a few pictures of the design of p1x3l, as I'm writing this post, 5 years after posting my last one here.
As you can see, things are getting simpler and simpler, my taste for the extravagant and the colorful have changed.
